A conversation I had with a twenty year old Buddhist friend

Of all the religions, if one has to choose the one that is the first religion, then it is definitely Buddhism. There are two main reasons for this: one is that there is no concept of God in it, and the other is that from the concept that if the "Big Brother" does not exist, then the intellect must be fully trusted. The intellect can make mistakes, but it is not flawed, it also corrects its own mistakes, the history of rational sciences itself provides evidence of this. Gautama Buddha was often asked by his followers what was the source of the creation of the universe? Gautama Buddha used to answer them that one should avoid getting confused in a question which cannot be answered. The Buddhists used to advise their followers that the purpose of man is to attain the inner enlightenment through the use of the intellect, which would lead to his own survival and the welfare of mankind. The effect of the Buddha's teachings today is that the great Buddhist scholars never question any scientific discovery, nor do they discuss the existence or non-existence of God.

I have been to a Buddhist temple in the UK for two years, partly because I wanted to learn about some of the comparative religions and partly because I had a friendship with the General Secretary of the Buddhist Association UK, with whom I still have a friendship. I often asked them where the universe came from. He replied that the universe was defining its own meaning through science. In this regard, we are taught by the Buddha to remain silent, and to work for the moral training and correction of man.

I was about to ask Mr. Ashoka about "The Great" when he stopped at Ashoka's name and said that Ashoka was a Hindu, he shed rivers of blood but when he realized So he repented and renounced Hinduism and converted to Buddhism. I had a long conversation with him and the result was that every religion that considers itself the only "heir" of the truth is terrorism and barbarism, and any religion that takes a political form is just an ideological manifesto of politics.
