The field of medicine dominated Europe until the seventeenth century. Some Western thinkers have even put it above Ibn Sina. Regrettably, Razi's philosophical views were buried in the religious world.
I had posted some time ago that if the concepts of good and
evil have been placed in man and the intellect is active, then there is no need
for revelation, this was my own thinking.
I did not know much about Abu Bakr Razi's intellectual
affairs, but I was surprised to see his philosophical views. Razi says that if
the concepts of good and evil have been inculcated and the intellect has the
identity of good and evil, then there is no need for "prophecy".
I have read ten articles on Razi in the last eight days, and
it is worth noting that in the 21st century, there has been a proliferation of
books on Abu Bakr Razi. Read for yourself and draw conclusions.
Good and evil are the result of social evolution. Nothing is
predetermined here. For example, in the time of Abraham, human beings used to
sacrifice human beings. That is why if you chose to sacrifice one of your sons,
the social norms of the time did not object. This process continued till the
time of Hazrat Omar who stopped the last sacrifice which was in the form of a
virgin and was offered on the river Nile! Revelation did not descend on Hazrat
Omar. But by that time social evolution had reached such a stage that the
intellect had begun to go through such nonsense! The prohibition of alcohol in
the Qur'an itself came later and the advice of Hazrat Omar was banned first. I
can also give thousands of examples of good and evil for which I have to write
a separate office. You see, due to social evolution and the height of
consciousness, countless theological precepts have become almost obsolete. It
is becoming difficult to implement the commandments and prohibitions in the
Islamic countries themselves!
