The Eclipse

Virginia Wolf gives a graphic picture of the Solar Eclipse in her essay the eclipse discusses.
It is a fine description of uncommon dawn. The people get emotional when they come to know that the sun will completely disappear for 24 seconds. The writer is really excellent painter and her description of the people and the place is really is very beautiful sometimes wonderful and unusual incidents take place on this earth. The Euston railway station in the centre where the people gather to see the eclipse of the Sun and they are deeply worried about the expected results of the unique event. The inclination of the people their zeal to reach the point and the hustle and bustle of the experience have been finely combined and the artistically described.
When the unusual period started the atmosphere began to get dark and the beauty of the sky finished. The sun was completely defeated and 24 seconds were converted in to a long dark night. All the views were frightened and the motionless. The wheel of life had come to stop and it produced many fears in the minds of the seers. Finally the edge of the sun came up and the light began to spread and the life that had lost again appeared on the horizons of the minds of the people. The incident showed that all the colours and the cries of life are only because of the sun.

What is the significance of the conclusion that the whole fabric of civilization was modelled?
Virginia Wolf concludes that all the colours and cries of life are only due to the sun. If the heart and light of the sun are the taken away from thing life nothing attractive or charming remains and the people are fully frustrated. It seems that the whole fabric of civilization is mould on the light of the sun. As a matter of fact, the sun rays give life and vitality of all types of biological life concerning man, animal and plant. Both the radiation and the heat of sustain the growth of the earth. This is because light and heat are needed to ripen the fruits and crops to grow the plants of the trees and to keep alive man and animals. Thus the sun is the flesh and blood of the world.
