* 'Social media activists should not be harassed. PTI petition in court *
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Islamabad High Court against harassment of its social media activists.
On Thursday, PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court.
Which states that:
* 'Homes of PTI social media activists are being raided illegally. *
The Home Secretary, DG FIA, IG Islamabad Police, IG Punjab and DG FIA have been made cyber wing parties in the petition.
Keep in mind:
The crackdown on social media activists has not yet been officially confirmed or denied.
According to the petition filed in the court, the houses of PTI workers are being raided and their families are also being harassed.
* 'Various cases have been registered against PTI social media activists.' *
PTI alleges that:
* "These operations were launched against the workers at the behest of the ruling party." *
The petitioner petitioned the court that:
* "Unlawful harassment of party workers should be stopped and stern action should be ordered against those who violate the sanctity of Chadar Char Diwari on political grounds."
It should be noted that:
Since the success of the no-confidence motion against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and the formation of the new government, PTI leaders have been constantly claiming that their workers are being harassed by the FIA and other law enforcement agencies.
Addressing a rally in Peshawar on Wednesday night, PTI Chairman Imran Khan had said:
* 'Cracking down on social media. *
In his address to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, he said:
"If the crackdown on social media is not stopped, you will not find a place to hide."
